Black River: Take Two!

Here we go again! This time just Dale and I went on a SERIOUS fishing trip! :-)   It was a beautiful day!  The morning was cool and crisp and the sky was clear! Perfect!
I was a little cold after wading through the water (hence the silly hoodie) but it was such a great day to be in the mountains and no one I would rather be with!
 The river! (and me)
We crossed paths with a flock of wild turkeys.  It was tough to get a picture of them, but so fun to see them and hear them! They really do gobble!!
Casting out for the first time!
Yes! I actually did catch a fish (my total for the day was 3).  I think Dale was worried I wouldn't catch any and I really didn't care. I was enjoying the scenery and the weather and being with my guy!

One of MANY fish that Dale caught!  He got some really nice ones!  Several that were really big, some fat ones, a lot of medium sized nice ones and tons of little ones!  It was funny when he would catch a little one he would sound so disgusted "Get off my line you little guy!".
 Nice one!
 One of the big ones!
 In his element!
 Another good size one!
 My second one!
Not as big as Dale's but by this time I had finally figured out how to control where I was casting the lure and the best places to find the fish!
I'm not going to post the pictures of ALL the fish Dale caught...that would be a little tooooooo long!  He had a really great fishing day. He commented that it was not the most fish he had ever caught, but the greatest number of large fish ever!  I think I'm the lucky charm!
 Now THAT'S a fish!!

 One happy man!

He doesn't ever keep them, it's all about the fun of catching them.  He teased the kids that he gives them a kiss and throws them back to grow bigger for next time.

What a marvelous day!
